Our school offers students many opportunities to participate in a variety of sporting activities and competitions held throughout the year.
House Sports
Our school has 3 house teams named traditional in memory of surrounding schools that have closed; Bete Bolong (Blue to represent the blue waters of the Snowy River), Corringle (Yellow to represent the yellow beach sand at Corringle Beach) and Wairewa (Green to represent the green forest). Whole school, inter-house swimming and athletics carnivals with high levels of community engagement are conducted each year as well inter- house sports competitions
Individual & Team Sport
Opportunities for students to participate at inter-school level are provided through swimming, athletics, tennis cricket, football, basketball, t-ball, netball, bicycle education and other sports.
Physical Education
No child will be excluded except on medical grounds. A note must be sent to school with the child. Children are encouraged to use the physical education equipment during lunch and recess times.
Swimming Program
This is undertaken at given times in the school year. The school encourages all children to learn to swim. Parents who wish to help with instruction or who have undertaken a swimming course are very welcome, but must have a current Working with Children's check.
